2020 Season Update

Brad Walter

Thirroul JFC welcomes the recent announcements by the Prime Minister and the NSW Premier about groups of 10 being able to exercise together outdoors from Friday, May 15.

However, the FFA suspension of football activities until May 31 still applies and the NSW Government has not yet adopted the AIS Framework for rebooting sport.

Therefore any resumption of training or competition can only occur after those steps occur and the NSW Government has approved guidelines developed by Football NSW for a return to play.

Hopefully this can happen quickly but until that process is completed, any type of football activity is not sanctioned and therefore not covered by insurance.

Thirroul JFC understands that everyone is keen to resume training and playing as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.

The club is preparing protocols and guidelines in anticipation of a return to training and playing being announced soon.

In the meantime, please continue to use the resources of Thirroul JFC’s Home Training Hub
