Thirroul Junior Football Club has more than 400 juniors in teams from Under 6s to Under 18s. The club's aim is to foster football by creating an environment for our Thunderbolts players where success is judged - not by winning - but by having fun, improving skills and participating in a club that is active within the community.
Mini Roos Playing Formats and Rules
U6/U7: 4 v 4 (no goalkeepers)
U8/U9: 7 v 7 (6 outfield players + goalkeepers)
U10/U11: 9 v 9 (8 outfield players + goalkeepers)
U12: 11 v 11
Emphasis on fun, freedom of expression and learning by playing instead of winning at all costs.
The game is for the players, the role of coaches and parents is to help, teach, stimulate and praise them so they enjoy playing.
