Thunderbirds trio Zoe Grew, Jenna Rose and Veronica Calderon helped Football South Coast All Stars to a 1-0 defeat over Sutherland Shire Football Association at Harrie Denning Centre.

Zoe, Jenna and Veronica were chosen in the team made up of players in the FSC Women's Division 1 competition for the fourth annual clash with Sutherland, which is part of Football NSW's Female Football Week.

All three were members of the Thirroul W21s team which qualified for the final of the 2016 Champion of Champions and will feature in a youthful Thunderbirds team this season.

Playing up front in her second appearance for the FSC All Stars, Zoe was denied a late scoring opportunity when she was ruled offside by what seemed to be the narrowest of margins.

Jenna and Veronica played wide mid-field roles in the 4:4:2 formation adopted by All Stars and Albion Park coach Macca Davis for the match.
