Senior Summer 7s Changes to a SUNDAY for 2016
Brad Walter
Due to the drainage improvement works at Gibson Park, the Senior Summer 7s competition will be played on Sunday for this year only.
Unfortunately the club's two main grounds are currently out of action after the installation of a slit drainage system, which will ensure Gibson Park is able to be used for training and games after periods of wet weather in the future.
As a result, the Senior Summer 7s will be played on the mini-field near the cricket nets and the field in the adjoining McCauley Park.
This will mean only two games can be played at the same time and night matches cannot be played on the field at McCauley Park as it does not have lights.
Therefore, Thirroul JFC has made the decision to move the Summer 7s to Sunday until the main grounds at Gibson Park are able to be used.

Please be advised that it may not be possible to accommodate all requests and preference will be given to those teams who played last year.
In addition, Thirroul JFC will conduct an U16-U18s Mixed Summer 7s competition starting on Wednesday, 19th October. For further details and to nominate a team, please CLICK ON THIS LINK
